Bad luck....

I am cursed.

Today was a relatively unlucky day for me.

First of all, I forgot to bring my math workbook to school and it had my homework in there. Our teacher gives an immediate 0 to late homework, regardless if you did it or not. And what makes me angry is.....the homework was 4 lessons. 4. 4! And I actually spent A LOT of time doing those 4 lessons. So it's a bummer that I get four 0's because I forgot to bring the book to school. Also, I got a 13 out of 18 on my last quiz, because I didn't read the questions carefully and got quite a few wrong. So it's going to be VERY hard to catch up now....

At lunch, we had our hunger banquet, and I got middle class. Not that bad. But the higher class people get subway, fried rice, salad, cookies, and 3 bottles of soda. Middle class......we get the school lunch's slimy noodles. And low income people get a bowl of white rice and a bowl of clean water.

In history, we had to present our Roman travel project. Turns out, I did not read my handout. And so I missed the important details that said that we had to put a map, itinerary, and no text on the powerpoint....we did not see ANY of that and so....yeah. Idk what will happen. We actually did a pretty good job explaining, but we didn't read the handout....

And in Spanish....we had a test. I guess it wasn't that bad, since I knew it was coming. But I didn't have time to study. Well, it wasn't THAT hard. But still. Tests are a no-no for us.

I guess the only good news I had today was in English. Ms. Kennedy gave me a 53 out of 50 for my author project :)

But anyways, bad, bad, bad, and one small happy event. Yay?

Kickball

I would write my homework, but I'm just not feeling it. So I might as well not waste the time playing Candy Crush or something and actually write my blog.

Well, one exciting news today. P.E finals are on Thursday, and guess how well we did today? 8 - 0. We won! First time ever! Playing against Alan's team, we were actually pretty bad lol. But strangely enough, our team improves really fast. Nice.

And um yeah, hope we win :D

Although, I wouldn't really count on it because Alan's team wasn't really....paying attention today? And plus Jessie couldn't run because her knees were injured, so they weren't exactly in "prime condition" today.

But still. 8 - 0? That's big. Especially for our team. Considering Michelle and Sandy's team scored 10 points easily, but for the last few games, Alan and our team couldn't get past 2 points lol.

So yeah. 8 points! Woohoo.

May the odds be with us.

Btw, our hunger banquet is tomorrow. Good luck to everyone and hope you don't get rice and water lol. (I brought a sandwich. Just in case, you know.)

Hoot hoot

We have a 4 day break from school because of Mid-Autumns Festival.

Yay.

Of course, we have a lot of homework......but that's ok, it's manageable (kinda).

We have quite a few projects, but it's nice to be able to do homework less stressfully....so yeah.

Happy Mid-Autumns Festival everyone!

Hey

I realized that I haven't written my blog in 3 days....oopsies :P

But I have been a bit busy lately (guess who's homework was taking all my time?) and I just hadn't gotten the chance to update my blog.

I do have quite some homework for the weekend, but I can't find myself to concentrate on my history essay, so I might as well take the time to write a post.

Yesterday, cheer practice was canceled because the juniors were taking the ERB test (both our captain and co-captain were juniors). And so I stayed after school to do a poster.

Ok, let me back up. Here's the thing. Our MUN teacher told us on Monday that he'll email us what assignments he wanted us to do. But he emailed it to us at Wednesday night saying that we had a poster due on Monday. Worst of all, it was a group project. Like what? We had two more days of school left before the weekends. But no. That's how he rolls. So yesterday afternoon, I stayed with my partner, Sean, to make our friggin poster.

Funny thing is, almost all the groups stayed after school to do the posters, so we all hung out at the locker area and chatted. Well, that's what you get when a teacher gives you 4 days to do a project. I mean, how can he expect excellent quality work if he doesn't give us enough time? PLUS, that wasn't the only assignment he gave.

On Thursday afternoon, the MUN club had a conference. And Mr. Lex had asked if we could've stayed to help pass notes. But we were all too busy with homework that no one went. So Mr. Buscher ended up being the one to pass notes around.

Henry told me that Mr. Lex was so mad, he said that our next quiz would be really difficult. But the thing is, he had the nerve to say so, even though he gave so much homework that it wasn't manageable.

He acts as if we only have homework from his class and gives tons, saying "oh, you guys have so much time to lollygag, you guys can just finish this easily".

And he asks for respect.....wat.

Sorry for the rant, but he is not exactly Mr. lovely-teacher there.

Oh, and since our cheer practice was canceled, it was scheduled for tomorrow from 3~6. I'll look forward to the heavy training and exercising.

Caligula

In history class, each of us were assigned to draw a bust of a famous person and write a short paragraph about him. And I got Caligula.
It actually looks a little better in person lol.

I spent an HOUR drawing this thing. So no one. NO ONE. Says a word about how bad this looks ok?

I couldn't draw the nose, so I just shaded the thing in like this sculpture: http://british-history.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/caligula1.jpeg

AN HOUR. Wasted on a project that I could've just printed out in 5 minutes. And worst of all, I'm not even DONE with this project, I still need to write that dang paragraph.

Sighhhhh. I should get back to this thing. I still have a lot of homework left....

But the good news is, tomorrow is Thursday! (yayyy) Which is our "no need of our brain" day. So. At least nothing is due tomorrow :)

FOOD

Mom bought some chips. Yummo.

Thank you mom! :D

You're da best.

Anyways, today is Tuesday, which is probably the worst day of the week for us. We have Algebra, English, world history, and Spanish in the same day. Like wat. And on Thursday, we have art, science, P.E, and we originally had music (but it was switched with computer). Like wth, schedule. Sure. Pile all the homework on one day and all the easy classes on Thursday.

Yeah, apparently I left my math workbook at home today, and couldn't turn in my homework. The thing is I convinced our teacher to not give me a zero since it's a first time. Yeah, that's just how much of a teacher's pet I am (then again, I forgot my homework. Nvm that).

What else....nope, I think that's it for today. Baiiiiiiii

I'm Hungry and I Know it

I'm hungry.

That's all I have to say.

Mom, if you're reading this right now, can you be the most awesome mom in the world and buy some snacks home?

Cheer Practice

Friday was our first cheer practice :)))))

It was tiring. My muscles still hurt and are still sore now. :333

Whoever said cheer was easy, I'll strangle you. We did toe-touches, push-ups, leg lifting, etc.

And the 4 people who did the best at push-ups--Michelle (takes gymnastics), Cici (takes ballet), Angela (cheer captain), and Charlotte (co-captain)--became our flyers, which is basically the most tiring job.

And I got the second most tiring job.....lifting Michelle up =.=

Sighhh......my goal is to do like 5 push-ups, stretch, and toe-touch everyday. I need to be more flexible =.=

Audition

Ms. Ivy, our music teacher, wants us to perform our own version of High School Musical. Basically, a simpler, shorter version with only 8 characters: Troy, Gabriela, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad, Taylor, Coach Bolton, and Ms. Darbus.

And today, we just tested everyone's singing skills.

Well then.

Audition for the parts is next week. And I have a bad feeling for some characters (*ahem*, all the boys). For girls, it'll be pretty easy to pick. I mean, almost everyone can sing. Boys.

....

'Nuff said.

And the rest of our class would be stage art, script cutters, and.....prop preparing???

I'm the director. So I don't really need to sing HA.

Yeah.......I kinda don't want to be the director though. Just because I don't want this to turn into bozo-kabaddi-oh-god.

Yeah. My life is a mess.

Cheer Team

So. Today we had our first cheer meeting. And today was just an icebreaker and poster making.

We met all the cheer members and learned all their names (although to be fair, there was only one person's name that was new to me, but hey, I'm awesome that way). Then we made posters for our bake sale on Friday.

And. Omigosh. Meghan, an art student, drew the best looking poster ever. I provided the ideas to how the poster should look and everything (like what we should draw, the words, the style of writing, etc.) and I brought a collection of colorful sharpies. Woohoo. This was what we used as a base for our poster:
Picture from Brainless Tales
What we did was, Meghan copied the entire picture (I provided the picture), but changed the cupcake into a chocolate-banana flavored one (that's what we're selling :D) and we wrote "Cheer Yourself Up With a Cupcake" in big letters. But we wrote the words "Cheer" and "Cupcake" in colorful letters and the rest in black smaller letters to emphasize on our point (my idea, not to sound totally obnoxious or anything XD).

Anyways, even though I provided the whole idea on our poster, I didn't actually do much work. I colored in some words, but I didn't actually draw anything....so....yeah.....I would credit Meghan more. And Cici, for writing the awesome looking words.

The other poster was really cute as well; they drew a stack of colorful cupcakes (how can you NOT be happy when you see rainbow cupcakes?! I mean, c'mon). Their's is more informational, like how much each cupcake costs, where we're selling, who's selling, etc....While our's is more of an advertisement to catch people's attention to come buy cupcakes.
I didn't stay until the very very end, so I don't know what the poster looks like :-/

If you're from our school, BUY CUPCAKES. YEAH.

Camp Taiwan

I hate it.

I really do.

For the first day, we were late for our first activity because the counselors didn't bother calling us for our first activity. Like what? And when we asked them where the basketball court was (our first activity was basketball), they said "oh, just go up the hill".

That's it.

We actually got lost and normally, it takes about 10 minutes to walk all the way up to the basketball court. BUT NO. They were too lazy to guide us up. We ended up wasting 30 minutes trying to find the stupid basketball court.

God.

The second day, they actually wrote "lodge" on our schedule. And they actually ANNOUNCED that we had to go up to the lodge for our first activity. Guess what? We wasted 30 minutes walking up there and waiting for someone to FRIGGIN COME. When we asked the counselor at the basketball court (it was nearby), he said that we had to go to the lodge for cooperative games. When we told him there was NO ONE THERE, he asked where our group was supposed to be with the walkie talkie.

...

It was at the FRIGGIN CLIMBING WALL. We could've just walked up from the tent, up the stairs to get there. So we went back DOWN the stupid hill. And the counselor acted as if it were our fault we didn't know they changed the location. And she pretty much ignored Cici and me for like 30 minutes, because they were in the middle of playing a game.

1 hour wasted. Just like that.

At least I got some exercise.

And did I mention it was raining so hard yesterday it practically FLOODED whole the place? No? NOW YOU KNOW.
