Feel Terrible :-/

I feel terrible....

I mean, better than before.....on Thursday, I took a vaccine and for some reason, in the middle of the night, I started gagging and throwing up :-/

6 times in 7 hours, wow.....give me a trophy for the world record....

And it's quite strange because the chance of an adverse effect on that vaccine is 0.43%......which means about 4 people in a thousand would have an adverse effect O_o

So basically, on Friday morning I was pale, sick, and frankily a couch potato.....so I went to the doctor....and threw up the 6th time......and had to take ANOTHER shot to stop me from vomiting.......it was either that or just waiting until the vomiting stops....so I just took it anyways because i wanted it to stop......

Then I went to school looking all pale and sickly like a zombie, just in time for a rehearsal for the Christmas show.....and then expo class (ugghh) then a Spanish test.....

And my mom kept getting phone calls regarding this incident......

Depending on whether we want to or not, I will take another shot in March, but after this, we'll consider for a longer time.....

Basically, I forced myself to go to the Christmas show and sing and dance, and miss the sleepover.....

Basically, I endure all the relatively unpleasant stuff, and miss the fun stuff....

And of course, my friends had fun at the sleepover while I stay at home and watch re-runs of stupid television shows =.=

I am missing out a lot =.=

Really curious what happened in the sleepover.......but I don't really feel like asking....

Well, at least the queasiness stopped....

Btw, I'm only going to be posting occasionally until Jan. 6.......

Christmas Show Rehearsal

Today was our Christmas Show rehearsal.......

And it was okay I guess........

Except afterwards, when I went on the bus....the ALWAYS LATE dude didn't come......we had to wait for him for half an hour =.=

So I came home pretty late........

This guy.....he's always late and half of the time he doesn't go on the school bus....and the annoying thing is that he never tells us if he's going on or not......so we always have to wait for him until it is time to go......gosh.......he should at least TELL us if he's not going.....the other buses left without us a long time ago.........

He always just walks out of the school's gate with his friends to buy Starbucks and never tells us....we have to actually wait half an hour to see if he's coming, and THEN we can go.....

GOSH

Christmas Show =.=

Tomorrow is the Christmas Show rehearsal......

And we are going to die =.=

First of all, the boys don't even remember all of the dance moves....and second of all, we haven't decided on our transitions between the boys singing, girls singing, and group dance.....

And Wayne wouldn't try at all, he just stands there giggling stupidly......

*sigh*

And the Christmas show is this Friday..........WE ARE GOING TO BE SO EMBARRASSED......

Gosh, why can't the boys at least try to remember, we told them to practice a month ago, and they still don't remember the moves.........

They're too busy with their video games and Minecraft.......

PSA

Today I stayed after school to work on one of my projects......THE PSA

In other words, a PSA is a Public Service Announcement to bring out a topic or promote a cause....

And yes, it's due AFTER winter break, but I like to get a head start :)

But one of the problems was that the videos that we recorded were strange......the audio was way behind where it was supposed to be....let me show you an example.....

Yeah....it's very strange, the plot is that Jessie with the phone is texting and accidentally steps on the other 3 girls' feet, but the problem was that there was supposed to be screaming when Jessie stepped on their feet, but it came afterwards when they were talking about how Jessie stepped on their feet....

So I had to PUBLISH it to Youtube first (it's deleted already, don't bother looking...) and then use a Youtube to MP3 Converter to convert it into a sound file, then put it into the video and then align it.....

GOSH.

Mummies O_O

Today we made a mummy O.o

I know.....it sounds weird.....

We actually just got a freaky looking baby doll kind of thing and mummified it......

Of course....we didn't do some of the steps because it wasn't possible with a doll....and the funniest part was covering the doll with "natron".........it actually looks prettier with the natron on.......

Then we wrapped up the baby and placed the "amulet".

Yeah....we got a TON of supplies......

The boys didn't prepare anything.....again......

But then....when I was carrying the stuff out (there's a lot of stuff, ok?) the bag tore open and one of the jars full of water dropped onto the ground and shattered :-/

And Kevin and I went to get the janitor to help clean up the mess......

On the bright side......the floor needed cleaning :)

Curse Glogster

I'm going to die.......not from Dec. 21st, but from homework.

First we have our English project, which actually wasn't that bad.....but Glogster totally wasted my time.....

I HATE GLOGSTER lol

At first, I used Glogster to make my poster, but for some reason, the pictures wouldn't upload! I was so angry because that was the only thing left that I had to do on my poster....and I get stuck on something as common as uploading a photo =.=

But Glogster, for some odd reason wouldn't let me upload pictures, I tried like a hundred times with different pictures and it would never work, and i didn't understand why because it worked the last time....

I ended up just copying everything to Powerpoint, something that I could depend on......GOSH, what could have taken me half an hour took me and hour and a half D-:<

Some people actually depend their lives on Glogster, but to me.....nah...

I never really liked Glogster anyways, I only use it occasionally....but after this, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to touch that stupid website any more....

And after that, I did my history project, which I thought wasn't too bad (I was stressing about these two projects for the past two weeks, wow =.=).......but the printer wouldn't work.....again.....so I have to wait until my dad comes home and fixes the bug.....

After that, I did my English homework......no biggie........

And then blog, my favorite type of homework :D

Keep in mind that I went to Taipei from 10 A.M to 3 P.M, and that I finished my Spanish and math yesterday......

The special day

Today we practiced so much.

The Christmas show is next Friday......ON THE END ON THE WORLD!!!

You know what I'm going to do?

At exactly 12:00 A.M on that day, I will type on Facebook: The flood is coming!!!!!

So next Friday is the Christmas Show, aka. end of the world, and also OUR SLEEPOVER :D

I have a sleepover with the 5 other girls in our class at Michelle's house, but I have to leave first thing in the morning :(

So I'll have to pull an all-nighter O.o

I mean......even if I didn't want to I have to right????

P.E

P.E was just strange =.=

Arvin kicked the ball really really high, and I tried to reach it by lifting my leg up....but half-way through I was like: wait...something isn't right.....And I fall on the ground, landing on my left leg :-/

Turns out I jumped into the air without realizing that both of my legs weren't on the ground and landed hard =.=

Yeah, so.....it was kinda funny I guess, it hurts, but not too badly....I didn't see a bruise anywhere so I guess it's fine......

I learned my lesson :P

SO HAPPY :D

I didn't fail the PSAT :D

Well, technically it's just a bit over 60%....but good enough for a 7th grader :D

I'm not going to say the score, but I am qualified for the CTY summer program HAHA

So...now all we have to do is to enter it to become registered for the program.....

Art class

I'm starting to like art class more and more :)

Today, we were DOODLING :D

Not the "oh-I'm-so-bored-I'm-going-to-draw-stuff-on-my-paper-since-the-teacher-isn't-looking"kinda doodling.

It's ARTISTIC doodling.

It's actually kinda fun.

Ms. Satina wanted us to clear our mind and just draw doodle art. And afterwards, we will spend three weeks putting all of our drawings on the wall and merging them together......somehow....

Sports Day

Yesterday was Sports Day.....

I think we lost :-/

Hehe.

Although we could have won the tug-of-war....

We were actually winning, but one of our teachers put both of his hands down to tell us to pull harder, but we all thought he meant it was over, so we let go of the rope and when we realized that it wasn't over, we grabbed the rope and our whole team tumbled forward like dominos =.=

Yeah.....we didn't win a lot of events....

But our banner was pretty cool I guess :D

WHO CARES ABOUT SCORPIONS?! It's all about the money :D

I think the cause is from the tug-of-war a few days ago....you know...the one in P.E.....

By the way, tomorrow I am staying after school for the Christmas show rehearsal so the post will be a little later....

But I have a PD day on Friday! :D

And we are having a lunch that day with the entire 7th grade's parents, then after that, us kids will go swimming :D

Yes, swimming in December.....we're just that special :D

Probably only us girls though, because the boys want to be loners and stay at home =.=

Today I did not stay after school to practice our Christmas show :-/

Yeah, we definitely are improving :)

And the boys are starting to come to practice as well.....Even though they mostly only come on Thursday, but at least we know that they are practicing.....

I should practice more too =.=

We not only have to dance and sing well, but we also have to memorize the moves and lyrics. And also know where we are standing and arrange where we are going and positions and all that, but I think we have enough time for that....

I am worried about Wayne though.....he will not do anything.....that boy has a problem......maybe we should just keep him as backstage........that way we get an even number, he won't mess up our show, and he doesn't want to perform or do anything anyways.....so it's a win-win....

P.E

We had our fitness test today....

This time we did our pull-ups and chair dips, we couldn't do our shuttles because the floors were all wet, and we would slip if we did that...

And while I was doing my pull-ups, I slipped on the chair and almost fell off =.=

And after that, we practiced tug-of-war and relay for our Sports Day *cough* Dec. 8th *cough*

I have to get my hoodie back quickly, I got it about a week ago and found it was just right....the problem is, if I wash it, and put it in the dryer, it will shrink.....and since it's winter, it would take a LOT of time to dry naturally.....

So I decided to switch to a size M so that I can put it in the dryer......And I'm waiting for Frank to give it back to me =.=

And on Friday, we had our oral test for Spanish.....I got a 14/15 :D

But anyways, the rest of the people who aren't taking the test at that moment watched a movie, called El Laberinto del Fauno......not so much of a scary movie, more like disgusting.....

I actually like El Orfanato better....not because I find El Laberinto del Fauno more disturbing, but because I really think El Orfanato is a better movie.......although El Laberinto del Fauno has better reviews and rates than El Orfanato, I think, I'm not exactly sure....Both are pretty popular movies....

But if you are a fan of fantasy and that kind of stuff, I would recommend El Laberinto del Fauno.....but I do not suggest you watch this movie after you just ate.....there are some pretty horrifying scenes....

So yeah....Michelle was like: not again?!

But to be honest, I think our class is *cough* special, because at one scene that's supposed to be scary we all laughed....it was the pale man scene....I guess we thought it was funny because he had to put his hands on his head like those sunglasses that have shaped lens.

Yeah...uh.....our class is very special.....

Sports Day

Today in club time we had our first Sports Day meeting.

We are the green Benjamins!

You know the American dollar bill that has Benjamin Franklin on it? Our team is green so.....there you go!

And our art director is Hantine! :O

There are a lot of top art students in our team.

At first, Ms. Sherry came by and she asked: "Who is your art director?"

We were like: "Hantine"

And Ms. Sherry was like: "WHAT?! That's so unfair!"

Hantine is our top art student in our school. She had a painting in the UNEP-International Children's Painting Competition that was voted first place in Taiwan, and third place in the world!

Today I watched Brave in P.E :D

Why?

Because Mr. Li had a meeting and he did not know what we should do and where we should go when he is in the meeting....so we ended up watching a movie instead....

And it was AWESOME :D

I have been wanting to watch it since it first came out!!!!!!!

I especially liked the three little bears <3

So cute....

I highly recommend it!

It's very funny and I liked the plot......

I don't have much to say about it but......you just watch it yourself.........I think it's out in the DVD rentals in Taiwan now....

Practice

Today we practiced our Christmas performance.....

Well....the girls anyways.......It thought we did pretty well, we just need to practice more and listen to the song more often :D

Well, I like how Kevin is at least practicing at home.....Good for him....

The performance is about 2 weeks away....and frankily...I think most of the boys don't even know what song we're dancing to......

I'm glad that Ms. Sherry's giving us two club times to practice our performance, which is a total of 3 hours by the way......we'll NEED it....

Especially for Wayne.......he's just......aghhhh.......we tell him anything he just doesn't try, doesn't listen, and he likes to isolate himself with everyone.....

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT KID?!

It's raining, it's pouring!

Just like the title says, it's raining like crazy out there....

Today we were supposed to have P.E, but we couldn't go outside, since it's all wet....

And so we played indoors hide-and-seek.....

We split up into 6 groups, and 5 groups are supposed to hide in the building, while another group is the finder.

Man! Arvin's group is good.....

We found all the people in 3 minutes! Well technically 4 of the groups was a hollow victory....

Because for some reason, 3 groups decided to hide in the same place.....it happens! A lot of people were desperate, so they hid with us....

And we found another group in the basement, because Kevin was trying to go to another place, and when I walked out of the door he was right next to me =.=

He was frozen in this weird position...

Then we found the other group in the darkness:

Christmas performance

We need to practice more......girls and boys.....

The girls have already started, even though we still aren't very good.....I think it's very impressive for people who haven't danced at all in the past.....

Boys.....I can only say.......if you don't practice....you embarrass yourself on stage...and even if you don't die from humiliation, I will kill you myself.....

Just kidding!

But seriously, you have to start practicing.......you have an ENTIRE life to play video games, and less than one month to practice your dancing.....

I made my point.

Thanksgiving!

Today we had a potluck!

We just basically had parents and some teachers bring food to the cafeteria, and picked what we wanted to eat.....

There were chips and salsa, pizza, turkey, roasted duck, pudding, Häagen Dazs, cakes, mozzarella sticks, and A TON MORE FOOD.

So.......i'm still quite stuffed.......LIKE A TURKEY :P

But after that, we had our regular class time......computer class and club.........and after school, we started rehearsing for the Christmas show, well......only the girls anyways.....BOYS....

So we decided to first do the a cappello (1:30 seconds), then the UUU dance (about 1:10).....

But one thing is, for the dance, we have to limit it to only the first 1:30 minutes, because we can't remember too much...plus the boys in our class are idiots =.=

And I'm particularly worried about the dance because, of course, the boys are idiots in everything....so......wish us luck....

Seriously......WE'LL NEED IT.

Broken Beaker...

Today in science class, we were doing a lab requiring a beaker full of water and a mass set.

And we're supposed put a container into the beaker full of water and then put the masses into the container and see how much you can put in without it sinking.

But when Michelle accidentally dropped a piece from the mass set, it hit the bottom of the beaker and made a hole in the beaker......

And water spilled out.......We were all panicking and stuff and called for help from our teacher....Good thing there was a pan underneath the beaker to catch all the water =.=

And then we were trying to lift up the pan so we can pour the water out, but instead we spilled it all over the ground.....heh.......

And we had to go get the janitor to help us clean up all that water.....

On the bright side, our classroom needed cleaning!

Badminton

Yesterday I learned that badminton is fun :D

No seriously, it is.

Yesterday my family and my friends' family went to a gym and played badminton....even though I never played it before....but they taught me how to, since they took lessons before....

And then we went to eat lunch.....RAMEN.

Yum.

And then, they came to our house until 5:30 P.M =.=

Which leaves today with all the homework.....I still have literature and Spanish left to do.....which are the ones that require more time.....

I spent SO much time on my Science poster......but I finally finished it! it's just this poster where it's split into 12 sections....each section has a different picture you need to draw

I got my new shoes last night! :D

Yeah!

But in P.E, my left leg felt extremely funny, and also in music class. I don't know why, but I've been having this strange feeling lately.

It's kind of hard to describe what it feels like, but I think the funny feeling is coming from my knee bone. And I know it's not because of the new shoes because it's been happening lately and it only happens on my left leg.

But of course, I didn't actually tell the teacher about that, because we were already lacking people, and I didn't want to just quit. To be honest with you, it doesn't effect me that much, it just makes me run funnily while I try to put most pressure on my right leg. And walking is fine.......usually.......

I trip sometimes when I'm trying to put the pressure on my right leg, and I'm not really paying attention to where I'm going..... =.=

Haha.

But I do hope it gets better, because I have a fitness test next week.....

Teaching methods

Today I have no idea what to write, so I'm going to write about teaching methods.

There are many different types of teaching methods, there are:

• slow and fully explains ideas
• fast, so you can practice more, and keep people from falling asleep
• harsh, so students obey }:-)
• less harsh, so the students would do their work in fear...
• and many others

The one that works the best for me is slowly teaching, I noticed that when my dad teaches me math, he teaches too much at one time and it doesn't really work for me. But when he slows down, and explains each topic thoroughly, I learn pretty quickly.

And I take a long time to fully learn something (by that I mean a REALLY long time), but once I learn it, I become so PRO at it :D

This is probably why World History, Spanish (especially Latin Roots tests), P.E, and maybe Literature (this is actually okay) don't really work for me. Because there is a lot to go through and I can't keep up with all the remembering.....And it's TOO FAST la D:

So yeah......comment down below and say what teaching method works best for you (doesn't have to be on the list) so I can know if I'm the only one with this weird situation.

PD day

Today is a PD day..

Which means a day off for us....

But I'm still in home =.=

Doing homework.....

Surfing the internet....

I am a total indoors person.....

I don't know....I'm just not very outdoors-ish......I'm more of the type who just sits at home using the computer, instead of going outside to enjoy the day and excercise....

What do you call that?

An indoors-geeky-techno-don't-like-the-outdoors-camper-that-just-stays-at-home-to-eat-ice cream-in-front-of-the-TV.

Yeah.

That's just who I am I guess...

I need to exercise more.....

But seriously though, i spent my WHOLE summer in home...on the internet....so....I guess technology is one of my strong points........

Boo.

That....was totally random....

Yesterday, I went to Sogo to buy new shoes.....and I ended up getting Converse.....YEAH

And we bought a bunch of other stuff too.....my dad bought 8 pairs of socks for some reason =.=

At first he only planned to get like...3 pairs...but the lady told him there was a discount for 8 pairs and his face lit up like this: O.O

Dad: I'll buy these....
Mom: =.=|||
Lady: there's a discount for 8 pairs!
Dad: (Grabs more pairs) :D
Mom: men...

But Sogo was CRAMMED with people......the line for the elevator went outside the building...no kidding....

And some booths (I think that's what you call it) had a huge pile of people trying to like buy everything and they all looked like housewives on a day in the mall where everything was 20% off...which was exactly the case....省錢大作戰 lol

Ever seen New York Square on New Year's Eve? You get the idea.

But I bought some winter clothes because apparently I've grown out from some of the clothes we had last year.....and bought some scarves because I've....somehow...lost my other scarves......in fact...the only one left is a scarf from last year's Christmas lottery......

Today in music class, we had to decide on what we wanted to do for the Christmas show.

We decided to do a comedy with dance and maybe if we want to, we can add some other stuff, but....some of us aren't good at acting, most of us aren't good at singing, most don't play instruments, but we are all pretty humorous....

As for the dancing part, some how I have to organized a choreography that could work for all of us....

They elected me as the leader if you're wondering =.=

So...now I'm trying to find some ideas for our show.....

Science test today =.=

It was a LONG one.

In fact, I barely finished all of the questions, and didn't even start on the bonus questions.....

And next Monday, I will get my history test back *scream*

I think everyone in our class will fail lol.

And I FAILED my Spanish test.

*sigh*

But I'm still happy and excited.

Because I'll get my new shoes :D

I think I'll either get Converse or Playboy, because I like both, and SOGO is having a discount for a TON of things, so the shoes will cost about 1,000 Taiwanese NT, which is pretty cheap for high quality shoes <3

And I HATE my sneakers.

Mainly because while you're running, you can feel that it's slightly bulky, and not easy to run it, and it's very thick. Because of the thickness, it doesn't look very pleasing =.=

It looks big and ugly on my feet.....So I want something like Converse, plus it will fit me better because I have small feet, and the sneakers I have now are too big....even though I bought it a year ago....

The Horror!

Today in Spanish class we watched a horror movie....

It's called El Orfanato....it's in Spanish (duh)....

And it's really scary, but it's a really good movie...There aren't any like...cheesy scary parts that end up to be not scary at all.....

And Michelle was totally freaked out and scared to death, so I gave her my Spanish workbook and she started to draw random pictures on the paper, inside she was probably thinking:

"OHMYGODOHMYGOD"

"OH, I KNOW! I'll draw a little tree! haha"

"WHAT WAS THAT?!"

"GAH!"

And she tried to block her ears, because there was a lot of sounds like screaming and of course....my classmates' screaming too...but anyways...

The funny thing is, we all had to do an oral test and each person goes outside to take the test, so the rest of the people watch the movie. But I happened to miss the scariest part, and while I was outside, I heard a lot of screaming from inside (movie? classmates? who knows?), and I was like: ok.....

And when I went back inside, everyone was terrified, especially Michelle........And when I told Janet to go outside to take the test she was just ran out of the room =.=

I tried to ask what happened in the part where I didn't watch, but Jeremy was like: You wouldn't want to know.

HAHA.

When we finished the movie, Michelle asked me to explain everything in the movie.......Because, well....she didn't watch it......

I recommend the movie to those who like to watch horror movies, it is not cheesy at all, or boring.....it's actually pretty interesting to watch....

Expect some dead children in your dreams tonight Michelle.....

I need to hurry up and finish this off so I can do the rest of my junk.

Today in Wordly Wise, two of our teachers called our class to talk.....ALL eleven people (yeah, we have a very small class).....

And they said that someone told them....that someone in our class said to Arvin: "why aren't you crying? Your sister just died.....don't you have a heart?"

All of us were looking at each other because we didn't think anyone in our class will say that......

We know that Arvin's really sad inside...and what is he supposed to do then? Cry everyday? Of course not......we know....we're not that mean.....

And they said that they knew who it was...

And we all suspect it's one person that we know of.........because she has spread many rumors about our class...without even checking if it's real or not......And because of HER, the whole high school hates Ophelia now >:-(

Anyways, I was happy that so many people wore pink today :D

Melody would have been so happy :)

And we just went outside to the playground, where Melody always wanted to play, but because of her illness, she couldn't go underneath the sun.....

And we let go of our prayers......represented by balloons into the sky....in pink of course.....

But after that, I'm still kind of upset that someone would accuse us of that......we're not sure if it's that person...but she ALWAYS gets the information wrong...I don't know if it's because of a language issue, or if she's just plain stupid

For example, one of our teachers said that: I'm not going to wear pink, it's for girls

But she told us that he said: I'm not going to wear pink, that is for gays....

That is the complete opposite thing!

Midterm Week

This week is midterm week....

Yeah so, there's actually not a lot of homework lately.....just a couple worksheets from science and stuff, but that's it....

World History: we dont't have midterms for this, but I am having a chapter test next Wednesday
English: we had one yesterday.....pretty simple...just general reading comprehension
Math: had it yesterday.....pretty easy too surprisingly, I was actually really nervous about the two midterms yesterday, but they turned out to be pretty simple.....
Science: no midterms for science, but have a chapter test next Thursday
Spanish: I take Spanish, and Spanish has SO MANY TESTS AND HOMEWORK.......we're having one this Friday
P.E: I don't remember if we have midterms, but I don't think we do....
Art: nah

Wordly Wise: I'm pretty sure we just do our regular thing  O.o

Food

I'm hungry =.=||

Mainly because my mom packed lasagna for lunch and my friends ate 1/4 of the whole bowl....

They were all like "IT'S SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And two of them were even planning to trick me into going back to my locker and finishing up the lasagna =.=

So at the end, 5 people stole my lunch and Lindsey was kind enough to give me some of her noodles (well, mainly because 3 of my friends ate school lunch, and......is the school lunch even edible?! Who knows....)

Now I'm filling up my stomach with yogurt.....

And later I need to wash my hair....

It's all sweaty from P.E.........

Ew, I know.

Yeah, but strangely enough, for the whole day my hair smelled like shampoo even though I washed it two days ago (which isn't exactly a bad thing)....maybe it's the new shampoo.......I'm not complaining...

We have to live up to our expectations

Today is the homework day.

As in....even if you want to go outside...you can't....

I really want to go outside today.....to go somewhere....but I know that I have homework to do......

So I can't...I'm stuck inside......

I know I have my history project due...a science worksheet....and an english worksheet that I'm almost done with...but time is slipping away..so I don't think I can leave my home.....unless it's dinner or something =.=

*sigh*

Weekends are supposed to let students rest from school and go outside with their free time...but it never is...at least for the students in my school....

Instead, we spend our weekend writing homework at home......there is no time to go outside....

I've actually asked some of my friends in the U.S. if they have the same situation...sure they have homework...but I don't think they are as pressurized as the students in our school....and that from some people's experience, our school is much tougher than some of the top schools in the U.S.......

Why do Asians have to take everything so seriously?

Our parents want us to learn an instrument, or sometimes even two.....they want us to get all A's....no B's are allowed....and they want us to study study study....who else would take a PSAT test in 7th grade?

And they don't give as much freedom to us than they do in the U.S.

But sometimes...I do think they limit too much.....in the U.S, it is normal to wear makeup in 6th grade or something.....but in Taiwan....wearing makeup when you're 20 years old is called "early"....

Wow.

It's Halloween!

Technically, no...it's not halloween yet.....

But our school likes to celebrate Halloween earlier....

And we have games like Fear Factor, Flame Coin, Chubby Bunny, and most importantly.....Hunger Games!

Fear Factor- Each volunteer has to put their hand into the boxes filled with gross items (in this case, gelatin mixed newspaper, dirt, kiwi and other various day-old fruit, and chicken intestines....) and have to find an item which the student council won't tell what it is.....you're supposed to find a plastic spoon for the first three boxes, and a specific colored marble (there are many marbles with different colors) in the forth box....

Flame Coin- Basically there is a penny on top of a piece of tissue wrapped on a cup. You use sticks with fire on the tips to poke the tissue without letting the coin fall into the cup. Two-people game.

Chubby Bunny- Now this is fun. You have to stuff as many marshmallows in your mouth without swallowing them. Jessica and Alex were competing back and forth with it. But at the end, Jessica gave up and got 11 (O.O how does she do that?) and Alex got 12. But strangely enough, Jessica always looks so calm when she stuffs them in her mouth......

Hunger Games- It seems like fun but I didn't join because it was too expensive. It's basically like the real Hunger Games, but you "kill" each other by pulling off their flag. And the campas is the entire area where you can play. And there will be wolves coming out to kill you too, and also a slenderman O.o

Creepy.

So anyway....it was ok....I went as Helen of Troy because there was extra credit for being a historical person ^_^

Today, our school called us to the cafeteria for an urgent meeting.

And what turns out to be....one of our elementary students passed away.

Her name is Melody......

And she passed away yesterday.....that was why her brother didn't come to school today...

She is 9 years old and she has always been very nice and cheerful to everyone....

A couple years ago, she came to our school and I thought she was so cute...even though her face was blotchy with red and pink.....

And strangely enough, I still don't know what illness she had......I guess I never really dared to ask her...

And she always wore a mask and could never go underneath the sun, she always stayed inside during recess, wore heavy clothes to block from the sunlight, carried an umbrella, and she never went out for P.E.

But I do feel sad....because ever since I entered 7th grade....I almost never talked to her any more......I should have.....and now that she's gone....I regret it

But thank you Melody, for being such a nice and likable person, and showing us what angels look like....

Today I presented our PAS commercial project and our teacher said that he really liked it!

He even said it was better than the ones that the high-schoolers made.

And that he's going to put it on our official school website O.o

And also give us 300NT each.

But honestly, I do feel happy and proud of what we did for the PAS commercial (even if it took me 8 hours =.=).......

I'm so proud of myself :)

I spent about 8 hours working on a project but it was totally worth it :D

It's called the "PAS Commercial", in which we have to promote our school.

And at first we assigned our jobs as:

writer and editer: Michelle
Voice speaker: Jessie
Photographers: Lindsey, Cici, and Ophelia
Video and media maker: Me

Although at the end when I spent 4 hours making the video (I'm new to iMovie ok? Cut me some slack), I discovered that it was only half as long as it was required to be (it needs to be 3 min. to 5 min.).....So I panicked.....

And I saw that on Gmail that 5 people from my group were online (somehow), and I quickly set up a group chat so we can discuss about this.

But at the end, I decided to go on Facebook to find more photos of our school and make up the rest of the script.....AND speak for the script that I made up so.....I ended up doing pretty much did half of every other jobs that I shouldn't butt into =.=

But it was worth it.

And I think I did a pretty convincing commercial :)

For the first time using iMovie I guess :P

And you know what the funny thing is?

The commercial was 3:01 long.

And a project from Speech and debate that is due ON TUESDAY.

This is what you get for pushing all the homework to the weekend.

But I didn't have much time to do homework yesterday.

I had to wake up at 7:00 A.M to go to the PSAT, and in fact I got there 40 minutes before the test even started =.=

And it went all the way to 11:30 A.M.......Then I went to eat lunch and pick up a white piece of fabric for my Halloween costume (YEAH) and went to Caves Books to see if MOA is here......it's sold out....HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? It shipped to here like what? 10 days ago and it's sold out?! So I ordered it to come next week.

And I went home to do homework.....And BOOM, the day's over..........

Well, the only things I have left are to study for my Latin Roots test, and the two projects.....so..wish me luck......

What is it with junk food?

You always tell yourself "don't eat it.....YOU'LL GET FAT"

But you start munching anyways.

I'm not really concerned about getting fat.......it would be nice if I could be skinnier...but I'm fine with my weight right now......

But I don't like how junk food is so addicting because I don't like the the results of eating it.

• If you eat too much, you'll gain weight (this also depends on if you exercise enough, which I don't o.O)
• Your skin might break out (yeah.....especially for me...)
• you won't be able to eat dinner (this is not for everyone but it is for me)
• it costs money

And I got the idea of writing this post because I'm eating chips right now =.=

And I keep telling myself not to eat it but I end up doing it anyways.......So I try to balance it by eating a healthier diet......I guess I'm not the healthiest person...but I'm not too bad either.....

I try to check on my nails and cuticles to see if I'm eating healthy enough...because if you don't eat enough vegetables...your cuticles will look kind of raw and not sticking to your nail bed.....it's really easy to tell if you're eating a balanced diet....

My family bought an iRobot recently because our house was just way too dirty....

It's so cute!

When it's cleaning it looks like this shifting plate gliding across the floor....And it's really smart too......

And you know what the funny thing is?

Yesterday, we tested it out and while it was cleaning the dining room....it sensed that my seat was really dirty and kept coming back to sweep it lol.

Haha...that just proves how much food I drop on the ground O.O

And I also recently got new glasses....two pairs actually...

I've worn glasses since 4th grade and I feel pretty comfortable wearing the glasses I have now...but I'm having some trouble seeing far distance...but I can't get lenses with more prescriptions because it would make it harder for me to see close distance, I have to take off my glasses....

But now, there is a new type of lenses that has multiple focus, it has far distance, normal, and short distance....I honestly don't know how you say this in English, because I live in a Chinese environment (but in Chinese it's called 多焦點鏡片)......it just takes time to get used to....

And the other pair is just a Hello Kitty glasses :D

Yeah, um...I just got them because I'm an immature person.....

So yesterday I went to the dentist to get my braces (they're Invisilign, so you have to go to the orthodontist to get 3~4 sets after a couple months). But I also had some dots stuck to my teeth.

Not everyone has to do this, but most people do, and it also varies on how many are stuck on your teeth. I have 10 dots stuck to my upper set of teeth, and 6 dots stuck to my bottom set of teeth. What they do is they put something in your mouth to keep it open, and they rub some glue on your teeth. And the glue is NASTY. DO NOT TASTE IT. It is extremely sour, like acid, and it can burn you mildly. Then they take the third set of your braces (at least mine was the third set), and fill in the small hole on the teeth with some hard stuff that is the EXACT color of your teeth. Then they have you wear the braces and bite rubber tubes, then they use a UV gun (is that what it's called? lol) to make the dots harden and glue to your teeth. then they take off the braces and get rid of the extra glue on your teeth.

Afterwards, you can see that there are dots poking out from your teeth, but they are the exact color of your teeth. No kidding.

And it gets harder to take off your braces, and they hurt a little.

I hate that I have to get braces, and that I have to glue on these things........

Today I came home late.....I apologize for the late post, but I had to stay at school to do a project...Just because I don't like school, doesn't mean I don't care about it...

I take homework VERY seriously.......

So anyway......I honestly can't think of what to write about so I'm just going to describe my best friends.......

Lucy: super nice, cheery, always smiling....and she is a bookworm......Wears black glasses, shoulder-length curly-ish hair...Oh, and she's Korean.....btw, Lucy used to be mega-cute when she was little...like....ADORABLE cute......Oldest in our group....not exactly tall, but not exactly short....

Michelle: nice, sensible, and is also a bookworm........Good eyesight, shoulder-length straight hair.....freakishly skinny......tan skin.....Youngest in our group...relatively short

Emily: crazy nut, laugh is contagious, gotta love her......not much of a book lover......waist-length curly hair, eats A LOT (somehow she never gets fat).....Older than me...Short

Me: super talkative, and funny!!! Not much of a book lover, but I do LOVE the Rick Riordan books.... reddish-pink glasses, medium-length straight hair......tallest (for some reason).....

So...I don't only have one best friend....I have four!!!!!!!!

To summarize: Lucy-cheerful one, Michelle-sensible one, Emily-the nut, me-the funny, talkative one.

Today was AWESOME.

I went shopping with two of my friends.....

Bought a vest, a necklace, a headband, and a couple stationaries. Michelle bought a pair of shoes and became broke (lol).

HEHE.

And you know what the amazing thing is?

We went to this store and saw four necklaces with letters on them: A, L, and M. And they were the only necklaces left.

Isn't that a miracle? And it happened just when Emily didn't come with us....(ok, that sounds mean)

I'm just going to describe what I bought.

Vest- sleeveless, gray, draped vest that can be served as: Batman style, Superman, Dracula, Pocahontas, and just by itself. (lol, we spent 30 minutes playing with the vest). And the price was half-off (score!).

Necklace- Golden mustache.

Headband- it actually came with two clips with the same style. Split headband with a butterfly on it.

Erasable highlighter- just like the name......don't judge me!!!

Four stamp pads- in red, turquoise, orange, and yellow...

So, yeah....If I had to pick a favorite item...it would probably be the vest and the necklace (can't choose), and unfortunately those were the most expensive O.o

And I saw these color pencils that I REALLY LIKED AND WANTED, and I was so excited because I've been searching everywhere for them....but....they cost like 550 Taiwanese NT for ten pencils!!!!!!!!!! Bummed out...... And they were STAEDTLER if you're wondering....

Nothing really =.=

Sitting here, drinking tea......Well, really boring...

Today in club, the mainstream students have to go to the auditorium to fill in the registration for the PSAT....

I know what you're thinking, "but you're only 7th grade, why do you have to take a test that you take in 11th grade???"

Well, it's Ms. Pamela's orders.

But strangely enough, there were only 3 people who are mainstream in our class. =.=|||

Huh.

And in the middle, almost half of the students didn't get the sheet for registration....and Ms. Sue was saying, "Impossible! There should be more than enough!!!" Then one of the students suggested that she might have forgotten the other sheets and only passed out some of them.

Well, today was fine...

Honestly, it's just like everyday.......nothing special....

Just really tired....from P.E.....

Although, my wrist really hurts....

I mean like a bruise....only ten times worse.......

Gah...It hurts even before I had P.E....But after playing volleyball, it started agonizing in pain...so I had to use the bottom of my wrist to serve that ball, because the side of my wrist hurt even when I turned it, much less hit the ball.....

But honestly though, P.E was ok this time....Selina was ok this time.....so...I don't know, maybe it was just a one time thing...

So where was I????? OH.

Owie.....

Today is gonna be a great day!

Actually no, the title of this post is really random.

So anyway, nothing interesting today......But I am still thinking about Selina......

You know I have a cold right (as mentioned in my previous post), and that I have a sore throat right????

Well, today in P.E. I had to scream three times with my sore throat to get people to listen to me (they were still standing there and chatting by the way). It is pathetic.

And no one listened to me even though I was the captain, and I actually told that I had a sore throat and that I cannot stress it by yelling all the time.

And Selina just flipped me off.....I mean COME ON, I don't care if you're such a stupid and lousy player, but I DO care about whether you're listening to me.....What is with your attitude?

I have been very patient with you guys, but if Selina isn't going to change that attitude of her's, I'm going to just wait until she comes crying to me, exclaiming why she failed the class, and just watch her break down in front of me.

Back from the field trip on Friday...the Confucius Temple Ceremony was SO BORING!!! The people talked and sang in the same voice (like a Chinese opera). And there's this weird lady who keeps poking us with her pink plastic umbrella and shushing us =.=|||

Oh, and I have a sore throat...*cough cough*

And it's because Michelle passed the cold to me :-(

The only thing that could make me happier is a book.....The Mark of Athena to be exact....

I WANT THE BOOK.

Although I can buy it on the kindle....it would be better if I had the actual book in my hands......

Kindle: you can get it sooner, but you can't actually "have the book in your hands" plus
Book: You can actually have it in your hands and it's probably cheaper in Caves Books, but you have to get it two weeks after it comes out =.=

OH MY GOSH

Tomorrow we have a field trip.

Sounds good eh? NO.

But it's on a PD DAY!!!!!! Which means...originally, we didn't even have to go to school that day....

And what's worse is that we have to be at school at 4:20 A.M!!!!!!!!

Wondering why????

Because we have to go to Taipei for a ceremony in the Confucius Temple...and it closes the doors at 6:00 A.M or something....GAH

And we have to buy our own breakfast and lunch....and we come back to school at about 4:00 P.M......

Well, I guess it's a bummer for the entire middle school...but we do get to see each other...but I was planning to REST and finish all my homework tomorrow!!!!!

And I get to miss my violin class (if you read my previous posts, you'll learn that I don't like playing my violin in anyway).

Our grade for our presentation came out, and guess what?

Brochure: 9 points
artifacts: 8 points
presentation: 10 points

And if you read my last post, you would know that I gave both the brochure and the artifacts 10 points, and the presentation 8 points......But anyway, 27 points out of 30, not bad B-)

My brochure didn't get ten points D:

But, it's strange how my least favorite part was the presentation.....I gave ourselves 28 points.....haha

But I think we did a great job....group 3 got 21 points (pretty good too), and group 1 won't tell me =.=

So yeah we got an A-, for our first project, it's really good ;-)

Wish me luck on my next projects XD

Not much happened today.....

Well, I guess we had a math test, but I don't think that's very special.....

So anyway, I wrote about how my mom always says unnecessary things that NO ONE needs to know about, even though I made it obvious that I didn't want people to know about it.

Yeah, so......you know how when you bring a friend to your house and your mom starts talking about baby stories or takes out an old picture of you naked on the floor....yeah, WHY ARE YOU SO INSENSITIVE!!!!!

Well, I didn't experience THAT before, but I don't want people to know about all this stuff that I don't tell people for A REASON.....

Project day!

Today I finally presented my project!

Overall, I thought we did pretty well except for the presentation.

First of all, Ophelia kept interrupting me when I was speaking. And secondly, our speeches were relatively short (because I didn't do much research, hehe). Third, not a lot of questions were asked so.....

My score for this project if I was the teacher:

brochure: 10 points (because I made it :D)
artifacts: 10 points (I made 1/3 of it and I thought Ophelia and I did a good job on the Moai Statues)
presentation: 8 points (all four of us gave a part, since coincidentally, there were four sections)

So yeah, I would give 28 points for this project if I was the teacher (the full score is 30 points by the way).

The other teams:

Group 1: well, I thought their's was average
Brochure: 7 points
artifacts: 10 points (Although they could have put labels, I liked their artifacts)
presentation: 8 points

Group 3: You kind of have to cut them some slack since Alan wasn't there...
brochure: 3 points (because they obviously just copied everything from a website, they didn't even revise it because it says: if you have more questions, please refer to our website and call 1-800-PROTOURS for a private or public tour)
artifacts: unknown (because Alan was responsible for the artifacts, and since he wasn't there, they didn't have anything to present)
presentation: 3 points (they obviously didn't do any research =.=)

A boring and typical Sunday...

Even though I finished all my homework, I still need to study for my tests (yes you heard me, tests) and practice my violin.

Next Tuesday I have a math test. Which I'm not very concerned about because I know most of the stuff. But I still practiced because well.......practice makes perfect right?

And tomorrow I have a HUGE project due, even though I'm not really that worried because we did pretty well in my opinion.....All I'm concerned about is that Ophelia doesn't forget to bring the art work =.=

And on Wednesday, I have an essay due (DONE) and a test. =.=||| So yeah, it's kind of hard to study for this because our teacher barely used the textbook....so I just used the study guide he gave me and answered the questions.

Personally, I HATE practicing my violin. In fact, I hate playing the violin in every way. But, my mom insists that I quit when I get to a certain level because...."YOU WILL REGRET QUITTING THE VIOLIN ONCE YOU LEARN HOW USEFUL IT IS."

Today is a Thursday.

Which means.....

It is the last day I'll be writing my blog.

Anyway, today instead of having our regular Thursday schedule, we switched it to Friday's schedule for some reason.....which means...

EXPOSITORY WRITING...

I hate this class.

Because it's just so...awkward...and I don't think the teacher's very good at teaching.....Just because I'm not writing anything doesn't mean I don't want to participate...GRR........it just means I really need to think about what I'm writing.......Is it a crime????

So he's basically those kinds of teachers who don't understand why we do anything....

Anyway, it's just boring because it's not like we've NEVER written any essays before.....

Plus he makes it hard for us to write anything........ =3

HOMEWORK.....

I have an essay due next wednesday (and I haven't even started it!).....I have 3 tests next week: math, World History, and P.E (yes, there is a test for P.E).....and I am FREAKING tired......

First of all, I'm in a pretty bad mood.
Because:

1. today I was yelled at (and Ophelia too) for talking too much from Mr. Lex, normally, I would be fine with this because it's true...I'm a blabbermouth....but what's UNFAIR is that we were just asking a question (because Mr. Lex was rushing us and we didn't get to even write anything down)......

2. I have a big project and an essay due...for World History.....which is Mr. Lex's class =_=|||

3. Next Friday, we have a field trip...you may think it's a good thing....BUT it's on a PD DAY!!!!!! Ok, you may think, "ok, it's bad but it's not that bad right???" but NOOOOO, we have to go to Taipai, and we have to be at school at 5:00.....A.M!!!!!!!!! And guess who's responsible for this....Mr. Lex

Today I was staying after school with Ophelia to make Easter Island statues..so sorry for the late post....

Personally, I think we did a good job :)

Technically, Ophelia was supposed to do this all by herself, but it's a bit much, so I decided to help her today (also because Michelle and Jessie don't have time to come over and help ==)

And we did more than I thought we would, I thought we were only going to make a Moai statue and a stone house, but turned out, we made tiny replicas and even the model's grassland (we spray painted it green).

And Julius even complimented on the Moai statue :)

So Michelle and Jessie were basically missing out a lot, HA.
